Land of Judah Orphanage
Amidst the towering shade trees and lush tropical landscape of Central Nicaragua, rests a sanctuary of peace and refuge for abused and abandoned children know as the Land of Judah orphanage. Messiah Project’s Land of Judah orphanage serves as a home of miracles and new beginnings to all the children who come as God’s love tenderly heals their bodies and comforts hurting hearts.
In Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the Kingdom of Heaven”. Seemingly unwanted by the world, these little ones are precious to the Lord and we consider it an honor and privilege to care for the children the Lord entrusts to us.
Located on seven acres approximately four kilometers from the town of Masatepe, our facility’s operations continue to expand and many new improvements are being made as the Lord makes provision. The first floor of our main building, known as “Casa de Milagros” ( House of Miracles), focuses on providing care to disabled children. With very few places available for these children to go, we are blessed be able to share God’s love with them.
The building’s second and third floors serve to host visiting short term mission teams working with Messiah Project.
As part of this growth, several new buildings are currently under construction. Known as “Arcas de Noe” (Noah’s Arcs), these units will provide addition housing which will enable us to nearly double the number of children we can care for.
More information about Noah’s Arcs can be found on our projects page. Additional photos of our Land of Judah facility can be seen in the photo gallery.
